Little Red Rooster

A brand new interactive website for Little Red Rooster, an adorable, moody bar in Ghent - designed to show the place for what it really is and recreate the ambience already present in the bar's own photography. The goal was a site that felt like a natural extension of the space itself, basing on its social media content.

The bar's existing visual language was limited, but its photography was doing a lot of quiet work - moody, atmospheric, clearly the product of real effort. The challenge was reading that mood correctly and translating it into a full digital identity whiling giving it a modern feel. Getting the tone and focus right meant paying close attention to what was already there before deciding what to build.

The project started with analysing the bar's current mood, its visual language, and its photography to establish the right tone and focus for the site. From there, the process moved from content and wireframing through to fresh styling, and finally into an interactive website prototype.

(outcome)

The result is a site that does Little Red Rooster justice - an interactive visual experience built around its atmosphere and photography, rather than a basic list of opening hours and contact details.
