This academic project focused on developing a youth magazine for the city of Kortrijk, both in print and digital form. Working in a team of four members with diverse backgrounds, the goal was to design a platform that could engage young people while contributing to broader cultural and social ambitions within the city.

The project was created in the context of Kortrijk’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2030, with a particular focus on addressing mental health challenges among young people in the region. Through a collective approach, we explored how design, content, and strategy could be combined to create a publication that felt relevant and reletable to its audience.

My role within the team focused primarily on concept development, wireframing and prototyping the online platform, the design of the visual identity and magazine layout, as well as the creation of a social media strategy to support and promote the platform across digital channels.

The final outcome is a coherent magazine and online platform that translated cultural ambition into a practical, youth-oriented experience. The full case study, detailing the concept, design process, and final results, can be viewed by clicking the “View the project” button.
